In Part 8 of our 1 Corinthians series, Pastor Mike Stevens shares what it means to truly be free from sin. Jesus came to set us free from the guilt of our past, the hurts we carry, and the future that sin tries to control. As followers of Christ, we’re called to take off our old sinful ways, learn to see the world through Jesus’ eyes, and put on the new life God has created us to live.
Pastor Mike Stevens reminds us that following Jesus isn’t about legalism or simply following a list of religious rules. Instead, we are called to be led by the Holy Spirit, living for the glory of God and considering how our choices affect others. Through God’s grace and the leading of the Holy Spirit, none of us are doomed to keep missing the mark. There is forgiveness, an escape from temptation, and freedom available in Christ.
