In Part 8 of our journey through 1 Corinthians, Guest Speaker Jodie Jurek looks at how Jesus sets us free from sin and teaches us a new way to live. Following Christ means putting away our old sinful ways, learning to view our lives through the eyes of Jesus, and allowing the Holy Spirit to shape us into people who are set apart for God.
Jodie Jurek reminds us that being led by the Spirit is neither legalism nor lawlessness. True freedom leads us toward lives that glorify God, seek the good of others, and point people toward Jesus. We can check our pride, look for the escape God provides when temptation comes, and trust His continual grace and forgiveness. Through the Holy Spirit, we can stop continually missing the mark and learn to live in the freedom Christ has given us.
