In this message, Pastor Mike Stevens continues the series The Full Armor of God by focusing on the Boots of Readiness from Ephesians 6. After recalling the Belt of Truth and the Breastplate of Righteousness, he explains that readiness means living with a heart prepared to respond whenever God calls. A believer who has their “boots on” is actively walking with God through prayer, Scripture, obedience, and participation in the life of the church so they are ready for the opportunities God places before them.
Pastor Mike shares how this readiness shaped his own journey into ministry and how ordinary faithfulness often leads to extraordinary calling. He also highlights biblical examples like the rich young ruler and Peter, showing that people can be motivated yet still not truly ready to surrender everything to Jesus. True readiness sometimes means giving up good things for God’s greater purpose. When believers live prepared to obey, serve, worship, and love others, the enemy loses his ability to disrupt God’s plan. The challenge is simple but powerful: put on the Boots of Readiness and be ready when God calls.
