The Full Armor of God - Part 1: The Belt of Truth (Pastor Mike Stevens)

In this message, Pastor Mike Stevens begins a new series on The Full Armor of God from Ephesians 6:10–20, focusing on the first piece of armor: the Belt of Truth. Scripture reminds us that we are in a spiritual battle, but God has provided protection so we can stand firm. Pastor Mike explains that “putting on” the armor of God is not just something we say or pray about, but something we live out daily through obedience and transformation in Christ. When we truly live out God’s truth, we are able to stand against the schemes of the enemy.
The Belt of Truth represents living a life rooted in honesty, integrity, and God’s Word. In a culture filled with half-truths, deception, and confusion, believers are called to love the truth, believe the truth, and walk in the truth. When we fail to do this, the enemy’s “flaming arrows” often come in the form of lies we begin to believe about ourselves, others, or even God. Pastor Mike challenges us to identify and reject those lies and instead embrace the truth that Jesus loves us and has a purpose for our lives. As we put on the Belt of Truth, we begin to build a strong foundation for the rest of the armor God gives us to stand firm in the battle.
